Haitian Macaroni Au Gratin with Meat Recipe (Update) Highly Requested 


2 Box Macaroni (I used Ziti) 

7- 10 Cups Water

2 Teaspoon Salt 

1/2 of Bell  Peppers (red, green, orange, yellow) Diced or Minced 

1 Small Onion Diced or Minced

8 oz Mozzarella (Shredded)

8 oz Mild Cheddar (Shredded)

8 oz Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese  (Shredded)

1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese 

4oz Cheese Cream 

1 lb Ground Turkey (any ground meat)

1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice 

1 Teaspoon Oil (optional) 

1 Tablespoon Kuisine Kreyol Kreyol Spice 

1 Teaspoon Seasoning Salt 

1/2 Stick Butter 1/2 Stick Butter 

2 Tablespoon Flour 

 2 Cans Evaporated Milk

1 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper 

1 2/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder 

1 1/2 Garlic Powder 

1 1/2 Onion Powder 

1 1/2 Paprika 

1 Tablespoon Seasoning Salt  



Direction 


 Using a mandolin tool, dice or mince the bell peppers and  onion. Set aside 

Grated the cheese and set aside.

In a large pot add in water.  Follow the directions on the pasta box.

In a medium mixing bowl add in ground turkey and lemon juice, mix well.

In a large saucepan, add in 1 Tablespoon oil and add in ground turkey.  Cook well until you do not see any pink.  Drain the ground turkey.

Add the meat back into the saucepan and add in Kreyol Spice  and Seasoning salt. Mix well 

Cook for 5 minutes on medium low. Stir occurantly. Remove from heat

In a large saucepan add in 1/2 stick of butter. Add in peppers, onions, and let it cook for 3 minutes, until it's soft. Remove from heat.

In the same large saucepan, add in another 1/2 stick of butter and then add in flour. Let the flour cook for 2 minutes on low. 

Add in milk, Stir well until you don't see any lumps and when the milk gets a little thick.

Add in 3/4 cups of each cheese (Mozzarella, Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, and Mild Cheddar), cream cheese, Parmesan cheese. Stir well 

Add in seasoning: black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, seasoning salt.

Add in peppers, onions and ground turkey.

Mix well 

In a large bowl, add the macaroni, then pour in cheese sauce and mix well.

Pre- Heat oven 350 degrees. Spray the pan lightly with oil.

Pour the macaroni and sprinkle remaining cheese. 

Bake for 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and it is light brown.
